Points of Interest

Points of Interest (POIs) are pre-loaded and user-added locations for hunting logistics. Knowing where the nearest hospital, fuel station, or game check station is before you need it can make the difference in an emergency — and eliminates the scramble when you need to process a harvest.

Pre-Loaded POI Categories

Viewing POIs

Enable the POI Layer from the Layers panel. Category icons appear across the map. Use the POI filter to show only relevant categories — for example, show only Medical and Fuel during a remote hunt.

Tap any POI icon to see:

  • Name and address
  • Phone number (with one-tap dial)
  • Opening hours (where available)
  • Distance and drive time from your current position
  • User-submitted notes from ProHunt community members

Finding Nearest POIs

From any screen, tap Nearby in the search bar and select a category. ProHunt lists the nearest five locations of that type with distance and estimated travel time. This is the fastest way to find the nearest hospital or fuel station without switching apps.

Adding Custom POIs

Add your own POIs for locations not in the database:

  • Your landowner's house (in case you need to knock in an emergency)
  • The nearest farmhouse with a known phone
  • A specific gate combination lock note (add to notes field, not name)
  • A private meat processor the database does not include

Custom POIs are private by default. You can share them with your team or contribute them to the public database for review.

Offline POI Access

All POI data (both pre-loaded and custom) is included in offline map downloads. Find the nearest hospital or check station without a cell signal — critical for remote area hunting where you are offline but still need logistics information.
