ProMap Drawing
Map Drawing lets you annotate the ProHunt map with lines, routes, and filled polygons. Sketch out a deer drive before you walk it, mark the boundaries of your permitted hunt area, or outline a bedding thicket. Drawn shapes are saved, shared with your team, and available offline.
Drawing Tools

Drawing a Shape
Open Drawing mode
Tap the pencil icon in the right map toolbar to enter Drawing mode. The toolbar changes to show drawing-specific controls.
Select a tool
Choose Line, Polygon, Freehand, or Circle from the drawing toolbar.
Tap to add points
For Line and Polygon, tap the map to place each vertex. For Freehand, trace with your finger continuously. For Circle, tap the centre and drag to set the radius.
Close the shape
For Polygon, tap the first point again to close the shape. For Line, tap the checkmark to finish.
Customise style
Choose line colour, fill colour (for polygons), line weight, and opacity. Use different colours for different shape types — red for restricted zones, green for permitted areas, blue for water features.
Name and save
Add an optional name and note. Tap Save to store the shape.
Editing Existing Shapes
Tap any saved shape to select it. From the edit menu you can:
- Move individual vertices by dragging
- Add new vertices by tapping a segment
- Delete vertices
- Change colour and style
- Rename or add notes
- Delete the entire shape
Colour Conventions
ProHunt does not enforce a colour system, but consistent conventions help team communication:
- Green — permitted hunt areas, safe zones, approach routes
- Red — restricted or dangerous zones, neighbour properties, no-go areas
- Blue — water features, creek crossings, drainage routes
- Amber — caution zones, stand firing lanes, property boundary areas
- Grey — roads, tracks, fences
Sharing and Team Access
Shapes can be shared with your team so all members see the same annotations. Shared shapes are visible on team members' maps and are included in downloaded offline regions. This is the primary way to communicate drive routes and zone assignments to a team before or during a hunt.

- Can I measure the area of a drawn polygon?
- Yes. Tap a closed polygon and the area in hectares or acres is shown in the details panel.
