Is ProHunt free to use?

Yes. The Free tier includes the full interactive map with 11 free layers, 5 waypoints, a 3-day HuntCast forecast, weather HUD with wind arrows, unlimited Hunt Journal entries, Hunting School guides, and free SOS safety — all at no cost, forever. No credit card required.

Pro ($79.99/year or $12.99/month) adds 16-day HuntCast, scent cone analysis, offline maps, unlimited waypoints, dog GPS tracking, team GPS sharing, SOS safety, hunt journal with photos, cabin booking, and more. A 7-day free Pro trial is included for all new accounts.

Do I need an account to use ProHunt?

Yes. A free account (email or Google Sign-In) is needed to save your data and sync across devices. Sign-up takes about 30 seconds with no credit card required.

What countries does ProHunt support?

Maps and HuntCast weather data work worldwide. Hunting regulations data covers 22 countries including the US (all states), Canada, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Finland, Australia, and more. Property boundary data is actively expanding. ProRut rut timing is latitude-adjusted and works globally, including the Southern Hemisphere.

What languages is ProHunt available in?

11 languages: English, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Danish, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, and Japanese.

How does HuntCast work?

HuntCast is ProHunt’s proprietary AI hunt prediction engine. It uses a proprietary multi-factor formula — confirmed inputs include wind conditions, moon phase, and barometric pressure, plus additional undisclosed variables — and produces one universal hunt score for your location.

HuntCast produces one universal hunt score from 0–100. A score of 70+ is good; 85+ is exceptional. The app highlights the best hunting windows automatically so you never have to interpret the raw data yourself.

Free shows 3 days. Pro shows 16 days with best hunting windows highlighted automatically.

What is the scent cone feature?

The Scent Cone Pro visualises in real time how wind carries your human scent from your position. A cone radiates downwind from where you stand, showing the area where game could detect your presence — use it to pick a spot the wind favours.

The Scent Cone shows real-time scent dispersion on the map, helping you pick a stand that stays out of the wind.

What GPS collars work with dog tracking?

ProHunt works with Bluetooth LE and cellular/satellite GPS collars — including Garmin Alpha, Tracker G500 and G1000, MiniFinder, Tractive, PetFon, Fi, and off-brand budget collars. You do not need premium hardware; affordable collars work too.

Setup: follow the on-screen pairing steps for your collar, then ProHunt displays up to 10 dogs on the hunting map in real time, with position pins and recent track lines.

Does ProHunt work offline?

Yes. Pro subscribers can download map regions before heading into the field. Waypoints, hunt journal entries, track recordings, and cached weather data all work without cell signal. Data syncs automatically when you reconnect.

How does Team GPS & SOS work?

Create a team in the app and share the 6-character invite code with your hunting partners. Once everyone joins, all team member positions appear on a shared live map.

The SOS button, free for all users, sends your GPS coordinates and a custom message to one contact you choose with one tap.

How many dogs can ProHunt track at the same time?

ProHunt Dog Tracking Pro tracks up to 10 dogs simultaneously. Each dog appears as a colour-coded pin on the map with its real-time GPS position. Compatible collars include Garmin Alpha, Tracker G500/G1000, MiniFinder, Tractive, PetFon, Fi, and off-brand BLE/cellular collars.

How many members can a ProHunt team have?

A ProHunt team can have up to 20 members (including the team leader). All members must have a Pro subscription to access the shared map, live positions, team chat, and cabin booking. Members join using the team’s 6-character invite code, which never expires.

What features work without a cell signal?

Pro subscribers can download map regions for offline use (up to 500 MB per download). Downloaded maps, saved waypoints, Hunt Journal entries, the last downloaded HuntCast forecast, and cached Wind and Scent Cone data all work without a cell signal. Live updates to HuntCast, wind and scent cone, and team GPS positions require a data or Wi-Fi connection.

How many emergency contacts can I set for SOS?

SOS is configured with one emergency contact of your choosing — a family member, a hunting partner who stays behind, or anyone you trust. When triggered, ProHunt sends your GPS coordinates and a custom message to that contact. SOS is free for all users and requires a data connection to send.

Subscription & Billing

How do I upgrade to Pro?

Open ProHunt → Settings → Subscription. Choose Pro Monthly ($12.99/month) or Pro Annual ($79.99/year, saving 49%) and confirm through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Your subscription activates instantly. A 7-day free trial is available for new subscribers.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes — cancel at any time. On Android: Google Play Store → Subscriptions. On iOS: iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Pro access continues until the end of your current billing period. No hidden fees or cancellation penalties.

Do you offer refunds?

Refunds are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store according to their own policies. ProHunt does not process payments directly — all billing goes through your device’s platform.

Privacy & Data

Does ProHunt sell my data?

No. ProHunt does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. Your location data and hunting grounds stay private. Team GPS only shares your position within your own team. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I delete my account and all my data?

Yes. Visit delete-account.html for step-by-step instructions, or email support@prohunt.app. Your account and all cloud data will be permanently deleted.
